Experience at Thacher Pushes OLC Players into a Growth State of Mind

Thanks to our friends at Harlem Lacrosse Los Angeles (HLLA), eight of our players were able to attend The Thacher School's summer lacrosse and enrichment camp in Ojai, CA. Players from all over the country got together to spend four days learning lacrosse and focusing on personal development. In addition to participating in three sessions of lacrosse each day, players went on hikes and took classes that were centered on developing a growth mindset. The players also had the chance to hear from speakers who talked about how they overcame challenges and were even given the space to share their own experiences and how they themselves have become resilient. Thank you to The Thacher School and HLLA for helping us provide our players with an unforgettable trip with lasting memories and friendships. Terranique, a 9th grader, said it best: "On a scale of 1-5, I would rank this camp an 11."
